MSD LIBRARY POLICY and PROCEDURE
Approved by MSD Board     August 2003

 

  • Materials available for checkout will be shown on the MSD website.
  • All checkouts will be done using the online form, which asks for needed information from borrower. (The request form is sent to MSDUULibary@aol.com.)
  • Borrower needs approval of congregation leader – Board member, minister, or similar leader (process shown on form).
  • Office staff will check e-mailed checkout requests and mail materials once a week, each TUESDAY.
  • The due date will be 6 weeks from the mailing date. Borrower is responsible for mailing materials in time to arrive by due date.
  • Checkout period will be for 6 weeks, but items can be renewed for a second period upon timely request.
  • Materials not received by due date will receive reminder.
  • Materials not received 30 days after due date will be considered lost and invoiced to borrower with copy to church treasurer and MSD treasurer. (The value listed on the library inventory document will be the invoiced amount.)
  • Cost of initial shipping will be born by MSD.
  • Return shipping is responsibility of borrower.
